"Doug Evans" I am an ex-programmer turned executive, currently working at Wincor Nixdorf in Austin. Most of my career has been spent developing applications used by many large national retail chains. I have programmed in Basic, Pascal, many variations of assembler, RPG, Java, and probably some stuff that I have long forgotten, but C/C++ is my language of choice (the closer to the metal, the better). My current robotics project is an autonomous maze-solving robot designed for the Seattle Robot Club's 1/4 inch line maze contest. Like many engineering projects involving hardware and software development, this one is overdue and over budget (by about 400%). Every time I start making some progress, I have to stop and invent something. I'm currently working on an RTOS for the Motorola 68HC12 MCU. This project is an extension of the uExec project begun by Richard Mann of ImageCraft. With a little luck, it will be complete by the time I retire.
