== Doug Evans == http://www.robotgroup.net/eric/mtg20030821/P8211179.JPG Although I am no longer directly involved in engineering, most of my career has been spent developing POS (Piece of Shit) products used by many large national retail chains. I have programmed in Basic, Pascal, many variations of assembler, RPG, Java, and probably some stuff that I have long forgotten, but C/C++ is my language of choice (the closer to the metal, the better). I guess the real reason why I don't program any longer is due to the simple fact that my hands have been bonded together with SUPERGLUE! I mistaken the tube of cement for K-Y. My last robotics project was an autonomous maze-solving robot designed for the Seattle Robot Club's 1/4 inch line maze contest. Like many engineering projects involving hardware and software development, this one was overdue and over budget (by about 400%). My current project is a small PICmicro-based controller designed specifically for autonomous robotic platforms. I'm also designing an In-Circuit serial programmer and software for the flash-based PIC MCU's.
