Eeyores Birthday Party is a uuniquely Austin event that allows small non profit organizations like the Robot Group to raise funds.  For more info check out the official web page at: [http://www.sexton.com/eeyores/ Eeyores Birthday Official Web Site]

For the last 2 years the Robot Group has successfully raised funds by making and selling funnel cakes.  This year, several members built a massive new fryer specifically designed to produce large numbers of funnel cakes.  Special thanks to RickAbbott and EdGonzalez for their efforts in designing and building the new cooker!  Of special note this year, The Robot Group was the ONLY vendor at Eeyores to pass the city health inspection.  Thanks to EdGonzalez for providing the special HandWashingStation.

== Practice Run ==

A week before Eeyores, we ran a test of the new cooker at a chicken barbeque put on by the First English Lutheran Church in Austin.  Despite some difficulties with the auto pouring mechanism, everything worked fantastic!
