 * Dr Mc''''''Daniel is a local Austin attorney with an MSc in Genetics, a Phd in Biochemistry, and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Baylor College of Medicine.  Dr Mc''''''Daniel is also a huge advocate for the human exploration of Mars.  As such, he served as team biologist for the [http://www.marssociety.org/mdrs/index.asp Mars Desert Research Station] which is a project of [http://www.marssociety.org The Mars Society].  Dr Mc''''''Daniel told me: "You might be very interested to hear, in view of the purpose of The Robot Group, that Rotation 6 is a split mission.  Three crewmembers are accomplished musicians, and will be interacting telemetrically with several recording studios to test the feasibility of composing, creating, and broadcasting music simulated in the Martian environment.  A number of different musical groups including Devo will be involved on a remote basis."
 
 As an added bonus, we've been informed that the designer of the Station (Frank Schubert) may be in Austin and will also attend the meeting.
